Designated as the New Jersey’s skyscraper of the future, Urby 1 tower proves to be a herald of the era of skyscrapers of the 21st century. Seemingly careless stacking of glass boxes on top of each other breaks the usual symmetry of high rises and challenges the structural logic, although it’s rigidity can’t be questioned . The cantilevered floors are architectural trend of modern architecture, explored since sixties and Frank Lloyd Right with his Kaden tower and Johnson Wax tower, over BMW headquarters in Munich and recent Moscow’s City of Capitals. The tower is crowned with a translucent top showing visible steel structure showing traces of High Tech. A part of the future triplet is the Jersey’s tallest residential tower at the moment, the one that challenges the future developments to go further and higher. Once finished, the complex promises to be a world of its own.
