The shortest and the newest of Newports “Towers of America“ it could be considered their younger cousin. The 29 floors tower is nestled among the slightly taller towers of the complex lurking at the waterfront through the narrow vistas opening between them.
This apartment high rise shares the characteristics of the style of its sister towers. The elongated scarps of stacked classical bay windows, the chamfered basis, the pleated texture, and plus, a hint of vertical stripes contrasting the predominantly horizontal visual disposition of the neighboring office blocks.
Clad in red brick, it acts as a transition point from the white, concrete towers of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway to the inner parts of the city and the low-rise blocks built of the same red brick.
